ASIAN MARINE SERVICES PUBLIC COMPANY LIMITED

Announcement No. EXC-A69024

Subject: Policies and Guidelines on the Use of Artificial Intelligence

Objectives

With the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its increasing role in various activities, the Company recognizes the importance of integrating AI systems into its operations. This initiative aims to improve efficiency in management, data processing, and information preparation, as well as enhance its competitive advantage through application in work and business operation. Simultaneously, the Company is mindful of the safe and responsible use of technology, ensuring that it does not violate privacy rights or constitute any actions that could negatively impact the company.

Guidelines

When AI is utilized to support operations, the following guidelines shall be strictly adhered to:

                          1. Data Security: Do not use Company data that could potentially cause damage or impact the Company, either directly or indirectly– such as project cost and profit information, or project design files – with AI systems, as this may result in internal data leakage.

                          2. Privacy and Personal Data Protection: AI must not be used to violate individuals’ privacy. The use of personal or sensitive information—such as national identification numbers, copies of identification cards, financial information, or the personal data of customers and employees—is strictly prohibited. Strict compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) is mandatory.

                          3. The Use of AI in Critical Decision-Making: AI shall not be used in critical decision-making, such as law enforcement. All decisions generated by AI must be subject to human verification and review to prevent errors or injustice.

                          4. Use of AI for Deceptive or Fraudulent Purposes: AI must not be used to create false information or deceive people, such as generating fake news or using deepfakes to counterfeit images or voices of others.

                          5. Prohibition on the Use of AI for Personal Gain: Employees may only use AI to support the Company’s work and are forbidden from using it for any work or activities that generate profits or benefits for themselves. This includes using AI to work on or develop a private business during work hours, using the Company’s data and resources without authorization, or using AI to work for other individuals or organizations that are competitors or have conflicts of interest with the Company, such as by leveraging Company information (project data, costs, customers, or operational plans). All AI use must be for the “benefit of the Company” and “must not create a conflict of interest.”

                          6. Prompts, questions, or commands—whether in written or spoken form—used to instruct or interact with the AI must not be unlawful, violate applicable laws and regulations, or infringe intellectual property rights, including copyright.

                          7. Prohibition on the Use of AI to Falsify or Manipulate Data Outputs: The use of AI to falsify or manipulate data outputs, or the tampering of outputs generated by AI systems to obtain untrue results or for deceptive purposes, is strictly prohibited. All use must be within a framework of transparency and accuracy to ensure the data obtained is correct and reliable.

                          8. Prohibition on the Use of AI for Cyber Attacks: Do not use AI to carry out cyberattacks, compromise the security of computer systems or data, or damage data stored in computer systems, such as by using AI to gain unauthorized access to computer systems or identify security vulnerabilities.

Responsibility

                          1. All executives and employees must comply with these policies, including any rules and practices the Company may subsequently establish, as well as all applicable laws, regulations, rules, and orders of government agencies or relevant regulatory bodies, and laws pertaining to the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) systems, both current and future (collectively referred to as “compliance with relevant regulations”), such as laws related to personal data protection, intellectual property laws, or laws protecting against violations of privacy rights, etc.

                          2. In the event that the Company suffers direct or indirect damage as a result of any act, omission, negligence, willful intent, recklessness, fault, or violation of compliance with relevant regulations, the perpetrator shall be deemed to have committed an offense and shall be subject to disciplinary action according to the severity and appropriateness of the case.

Therefore, this announcement is made for all employees’ acknowledgment
